Terms of sale and licence

Version 2026-09-23. These terms apply when you buy a CaseWarRoom licence.

1. Who we are

CaseWarRoom is sold by Nikah AI Ltd, trading as CaseWarRoom, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17199968), registered office Office 1216, 60 Tottenham Court Road, London W1T 2EW. Contact us at info@nikah-ai.com.

2. What CaseWarRoom is, and is not

CaseWarRoom is Windows software that helps you organise evidence and prepare documents for your own case. CaseWarRoom is software. It is not a law firm, it does not give legal advice, and it does not conduct litigation or represent you. You decide what to file and you file it yourself. AI output can be wrong: check every citation, date and figure against the official source, and take advice from a qualified lawyer where the stakes warrant it.

It does not carry out any reserved legal activity under the Legal Services Act 2007: it does not conduct litigation, exercise rights of audience or file anything for you. Deadlines, dates and figures it works out are aids to your own checking, not a substitute for reading the rules, directions and orders that apply to your case. You are responsible for what you file and when.

3. What you are buying

A licence to use CaseWarRoom on one computer at a time for the plan you choose:

• Case Pass — £49. One payment of £49. Does not renew. Archive a finished case to start another.
• Case Pass — owned — £129. One payment of £129. Keeps working after the 12 months; only newer versions need renewing.
• Professional — 12 months — £390. One payment of £390. Does not renew. Adds mailbox import, watched folders and costs tools.
• Professional — owned — £499. One payment of £499. Keeps working after the 12 months; only newer versions need renewing.

Every plan is a one-off payment. Nothing renews or charges you again. An "owned" licence keeps working after its 12 months of updates end; versions released after that date need a renewal, which we will offer when available. You may move your licence to another computer by releasing it on the first one (Licence, then Release).

4. Price and payment

Prices are in pounds sterling. Nikah AI Ltd is not VAT registered, so the price shown is the total you pay. Checkout is run by Stripe. The sale is processed through Onelink, Stripe's reseller service, which acts as merchant of record for the payment: its checkout page shows "Sold through Onelink", asks you to accept its own terms for the payment, and may show a VAT figure that is already included in the total. The total you pay is the price shown here. Your card details go to Stripe and Onelink, never to us.

5. Delivery

Your licence key is shown on screen as soon as Stripe confirms your payment, with an option to save it as a file. We do not send it by email. Keep the key safe; if you lose it, email us from the address you paid with and we will show it to you again.

6. Free trial and your right to cancel

You can use every feature free for 14 days before buying, so you can check CaseWarRoom works for you and on your computer.

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 you normally have 14 days to cancel a contract for digital content. Because your licence key is supplied immediately, at checkout we ask you to agree to immediate supply and to acknowledge that you lose that right to cancel once the key is supplied. If you do not give that agreement, the purchase does not go ahead.

This does not affect your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. If CaseWarRoom is faulty, not as described or not fit for purpose, you are entitled to a repair or replacement, or, if that is not possible or does not fix it, some or all of your money back.

7. Licence rules

• One licence is for one person on one computer at a time.
• You may not sell, share or publish your key, or try to get round the licence check.
• You may not copy, modify or reverse engineer the software except as the law allows.

8. Your case data

Your documents and case database stay on your computer. We never receive them and cannot recover them. If you choose an encryption passphrase and lose it, nobody can open your data, including us. Keep your own backups.

If you connect an AI provider, you choose it and use it under your own agreement with that provider. The text you choose to send goes to them.

9. Our responsibility to you

If you are a consumer, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for the outcome of your case or for decisions you make using the software, for loss that was not foreseeable, or for business losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.

If you buy for a business (for example as an adviser or practitioner), our total liability to you is limited to the price you paid for the licence, and we are not liable for loss of profit, business, goodwill or data, or for indirect loss.

10. Updates and support

Updates released during your plan's period are included. Support is by email; we aim to reply within five working days. Support covers installing and using the software. It never includes legal advice.

11. Law and complaints

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your local courts. Please email complaints to info@nikah-ai.com and we will respond.
